Blog Post: Tracks You Leave

Do you think about the patterns you create when you mow your lawn? I live in Phoenix, AZ and mowing is usually a twice-a-week occurrence. I recently thought about the lines and patterns that the mower leaves in our lawn and compared it to looking at a baseball diamond on TV. Now, my lawn is a far cry from the Arizona Diamondbacks baseball field, but there are patterns in the grass that remind me of that huge field, seen from my TV or live, when I attend a game. Consider the following questions:
My analogy only applies to those of you who are challenged by finding new paths to take in your work, creating a pattern in your job that is uniquely YOU! Are you an innovator who transforms your job everyday and are you challenged when things are changed in your work? Making a new pattern (path) in your work means you are better able to accept the change you may be facing. As a result, you are more open to new ideas and processes, and of more value to your company. Keep an attitude of stimulating new ideas and making a new pattern in the way you work. You will be rewarded with an awareness by management and other employees in your organization, as the benefits of your ideas create a pattern for them.
